Graduations
Teen follows proud family
tradition of military service
Ancestor was
in the British
Indian Army
A TEENAGER whose great
grandfather was in the British
Indian Army is all set for a high-
flying career with the Royal Air
Force.
Karanpal Singh, aged 17 from
Dagenham, graduated from No.
630 Arnold Intake at RAF Halton
recently, with his family there to
support him.
His forebear was in the British
Indian Army in the 1930s and saw
action in Thailand and Burma.
Karanpal will now go on to RAF
Boulmer to train as an Aerospace
Systems Operator.
No. 630 intake marched on
to the Henderson Parade Square
behind Flight Commander, Flt Lt
Andy Furlong. They numbered 20
females and 66 males, with around
400 family and friends watching
from the stands.
