      THREE RAF orienteers formed part of the 16-man UK Armed Forces
      (UKAF) Orienteering team who produced a fourth place finish at British
      Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Orienteering Championships
      in Scotland.
         The team which featured 11 Army and two Navy athletes, competed
      in the individual event on the Saturday and the relay on the Sunday over
      very challenging rough mountainous terrain course.
         The UKAF team were up against stiff competition from the university
      runners,  many of whom  are amongst  the  best cross-country  runners
      of their generation and with several orienteering regularly for Great
      Britain.
         The leading RAF orienteers on the individual competition were
      siblings Sqn Ldr Rachel Sullivan from MOD (20th out of a field of 42)
      and Sqn Ldr Geoff Ellis (57th out of 92), with Flt Lt Rich Crabb from
      RAF Coningsby.
