       AN INURY-RAVAGED Senior Men’s
       football team endured a chastening
night as they went down 3-0 to the
Army in the opening clash of the
       Inter-Services.
         Sending his depleted side out
to face the pace-driven hosts at
       Aldershot Town’s Electrical Services
ground, RAF manager Sgt Kev Barry
had been forced to change his tactics
       to compensate for the losses.
His plans to catch the Army on
the counter however were dealt a
huge blow in the eighth minute when
Infantryman Adam Walley curled in a
       stunning strike from 18 yards.
Seven minutes later it was two,
as Walley latched on to another long
ball inside the channels, rounding Cpl
Chris Adams in the RAF goal to slot
       in.
         RAF Cpl Mike Campbell began
to show some influence on the game
after the second goal, with a great 40-
yard run. His cross was blocked and
from the subsequent corner SAC Ben
Cullen saw his near-post header tipped FIGHTING SPIRIT:
